Profile
Many of you may know that our company got involved last year in
a successful initiative to keep the Louisville Orchestra out of
bankruptcy. Since then I have gotten very involved and Elite Homes
has become the title sponsor of a new concert series. On Saturday
January 15th at 8pm, the Louisville Orchestra presents Crystal Gayle
and Ronnie Milsap in concert in Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center.
This concert is the first of two in the new Elite Homes American
Music Legend Series. We would like to offer each of you a memorable
concert experience at special group prices for this concert.
Crystal Gayle recorded one of the most popular songs of all time,
“Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue”. Her music
has been popular with mainstream audiences as she is the recipient
of 3 American Music Awards and was voted as America’s “Favorite
Female Artist”. Always gracious and generous with her time
and talent, Crystal has been awarded the “Celebration of Light”
Award in recognition of her myriad humanitarian efforts-among them,
the Make-A-Wish Foundation (for which she has recorded the official
theme song).
Ronnie Milsap has been one of the major figures in Pop and Country
music. A virtuoso violinist at age 8, he has also mastered the piano,
guitar, and many stringed instruments as well as various woodwinds.
Milsap has had 40 #1 hits in his career, surpassing Elvis (33) and
the Beatles (29). Milsaps’ #1 hits include “Smoky Mountain
Rain”, “What A Difference You’ve Made In My Life”,
“No Getting Over Me”, “Any Day Now” and
many others.
Group prices for tickets start at $20.00 each and go to $45.50 each
depending on the location of the seats. Because of Crystal Gayle’s
work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation (which grants wishes for terminally
ill children), we are going to have a very special reception before
the concert to raise money for this charity. From 6:30 to 8:00,
we will have hors d’oeuvres in the Mary Anderson Room and
attendees will have a chance to meet Ms. Gayle before the concert
(we are asking for a $50.00 tax-deductible donation for admission
to the reception).
We hope you will make plans to attend and support not only the Orchestra,
but also the very important work being done by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
If you would like to order tickets for this concert or the reception,
call Carla at the Louisville Orchestra at 587-8681. (Tell her you
want the Elite Homes group rate).
