Here is a tried and true recipe for Baked Sweet Onion that we heard is better than any onion soup and so easy even Richard Boland had success in preparing it.

This recipe can be used for as many as you need.

Medium Sweet Onion – peel and cut off ends, core out the center
Add about 1/2 tablespoon of Beef Bullion Flakes
Add a pat of butter
Wrap in aluminum foil
Bake at 400 for approximately 45 minutes

(you can substitute bullion cubes for the flakes or try it with low sodium beef bullion)

Household tips:
Plants prefer water at room temperature. Letting tap water sit awhile also removes soil-harming chlorine as it evaporates into the air. Save the water used to boil eggs – it is good for your plants – use it after it has cooled.

To make your own ice pack, mix 1 part rubbing alcohol to 3 parts water and freeze. This makes a slush – be careful to label the bag so no one drinks it.
